How To Get Rid Of Cockroaches - German Cockroaches

German Cockroaches are some of the most persistent cockroaches in the United States. As with any pest, they can become an enormous problem in your home if not taken care of. Don't let these cockroaches multiply. Each egg capsule contains from 20 to 40 eggs and can infest your home quickly.

They are mostly found indoors but can be found outdoors. This is usually due to a heavy infestation indoors. They like tight places and this is usually why you find them mostly in cracks and crevices and mostly at night. But in a home with a heavy infestation you'll find them everywhere day and night.

The German Cockroach is about 1/2 to 5/8 inches long and loves your home. Rid yourself of these as soon as possible or you'll be sorry.

The old way of treating for German roaches is by cleaning out you cabinets and spraying around your baseboards. Some of the old timers still do this. But let me tell you, I've been treating for German roaches for over 15 years now and all this does is rid your home of these pests for a short period of time. They'll move back into the wall and stay away from the sprays until the smell is gone and then they'll return. Sure, you're going to kill a few. But they will return.

The best way I've found is to use baits. I've cleaned many homes of German roaches and it works. You can call a professional but be careful. Not all companies are honest. Or, you can do it yourself.

If you do it yourself than here's what you can do. Go to your local hardware store or homecenter or the following. Buy some ŪCombat roach bait gel. It usually comes in a syringe or tube and apply this gel in all cracks and crevices in your home. All kitchen cabinets ( you don't have to empty your cabinets ). Just apply it in tiny dots about the size of a BB and no larger than a pea. Apply it to all corners of your cabinets and anywhere else you see roaches.

Even boric acid works good. If you have a heavy infestation open up all your electrical switch plate covers and apply it in these.
